The GUR struck the Russian ship 'Buian-M' in the Azov Sea.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked the Russian ship 'Buian-M' in the Azov Sea on Thursday, August 28. This was reported by the press service of the GUR, as reported by 'Hvylya.'
According to inkorr.com: As a result of joint actions by the Active Operations Department of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the 'Ghosts' special unit, it was possible to hit the missile ship of project 21631 'Buian-M.' This ship is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles. According to intelligence data, a drone from the 'Ghosts' special unit damaged the radar station on board, while special forces attacked the hull of the ship.

The 'Buian-M' class ships are designed for combat operations in confined marine spaces such as the Black, Azov, and Caspian Seas. They can maneuver through navigable rivers, providing them with flexibility in deployment.
The 'Buian-M' ship is armed with eight Kalibr-type cruise missiles and can carry Oniks anti-ship missiles. However, its air defense system is inadequately effective, as it contains only a few Gybka surface-to-air missile systems.
This event confirms the increasing tension between Ukraine and Russia in the region, where the Ukrainian armed forces demonstrate their readiness to defend their waters against any threats.
