Let robots perish, not people. The General Staff plans to deploy robotic units in each brigade.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to deploy robotic units in brigades on the contact line
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intends to soon establish robotic units in brigades involved in combat operations on the front line. This was reported by Vitaliy Dobryansky, head of the innovation activity management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The use of robotic platforms on the front line is one of the main priorities of this division, as they can help reduce personnel losses by 30%.
Robotic platforms can be used for various tasks, including reconnaissance, strike, and special operations. The most popular are remotely controlled robots, which can deliver food, ammunition, and evacuate wounded under enemy fire. The range of such robots can reach up to 5 km.
To gain feedback from military units and improve domestic weapon and robotics samples, the General Staff plans to promote innovation activities in combat units by creating special groups. The process of building such structures has already begun.
According to Dobryansky, a tough competition for the use of advanced technologies continues on the front line. Some new electronic warfare means are countered by the enemy within 1-2 weeks.
By March 2024, Ukraine began mass production of robotic ground platforms. The Brave1 cluster, aimed at developing military technologies in Ukraine, tested over 50 such complexes at the training ground.
