HAMAS refuses partial agreements with Israel and insists on a comprehensive deal. A senior HAMAS official, Khalil Al-Hayya, stated this in his television address. He demands a complete end to the war in the Gaza Strip, a swap of all hostages between Israel and Palestine, as well as the immediate restoration of the destroyed infrastructure in Gaza. HAMAS accuses the Israeli leadership of using the truce to achieve its goals, including continuing the war and blockading the Palestinian population. The organization calls for comprehensive negotiations that will include a cessation of hostilities, the release of prisoners, and humanitarian reconstruction of Gaza. Earlier, HAMAS agreed to a proposed deal for a cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, but later fired rockets at Israel. In response, Israel continued its offensive in the Gaza Strip. HAMAS militants launched ten rockets, but most of them were intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces. The rockets were fired from Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and targeted the city of Ashdod.
