Current Situation in Kherson
Residents have described terrifying moments during the shelling.
“When I heard something flying, I covered myself with a blanket, and debris fell on me. The strike hit right at our garage,” shared a Kherson resident. Another victim who remained at the scene said: “An ambulance came and took my wife, but I stayed. Someone has to come. I’ll lie down for now and go to the hospital tomorrow.”
Notably, between 6 p.m. on March 23 and 6 p.m. on March 24, Russian forces deployed nearly a thousand attack drones, highlighting the intensity of assaults on the region. The situation in Kherson remains tense as locals continue to endure the consequences of military actions.
These events underscore the mounting pressure in Kherson, where residents suffer from relentless shelling and threats to their lives. The intensity of the attacks, particularly the use of drones, indicates that military operations in the area are not only ongoing but escalating. This raises concerns about safety and the humanitarian crisis in Kherson, where infrastructure destruction and civilian casualties are becoming increasingly frequent. Authorities and the international community must focus on aiding the victims and ensuring the protection of civilians.
