15 Ways to Save on a Holiday at Butlin's: Tips for Budget Travellers

According to The Sun: We all love spending time by the sea, and for my family, Butlin's has always been the best place for a holiday as long as I can remember.

Even with all the fantastic family offerings, this popular resort can become even more affordable if you know where to look for discounts and advice from those who have been here before.

Butlin's is always popular among kids, but for parents, it’s better when they can get a big discount

For those on a tight budget, it’s important to know how to save money, especially during school holidays when prices can skyrocket.

As a thrifty traveller and holiday expert, I’ve tried all the tricks of the trade to make my money go as far as possible.

1. Use off-peak days and staggered school holidays

October can be a great time for a holiday since school holidays are spread out over three weeks.

This means sometimes your kids can take a break when others are already back in class.

One year our area had free holidays at the end of October, which allowed us to book last-minute cheaply at Butlin's

We paid only £150, which is half what we would have paid if we had booked a week earlier.

Prices can be compared on the butlins.com website by selecting 'all holidays'.

You can also compare prices at the three Butlin's resorts: Bognor Regis, Skegness, and Minehead.

2. Use the Blue Light Card and other discount programs

Over the years, I’ve saved hundreds of pounds on holiday bookings using the Blue Light Card.

It typically reduces the cost of each holiday at Butlin's by around £30, which quickly adds up over annual trips.

This card, costing £5 for two years, is designed for public service workers, including education, emergency services, and military personnel.

After logging onto the Blue Light Card website, go to the Butlin's page to get a code for access to the Butlin's Privilege Club.

Here, you can find discounted prices.

If you don’t have a Blue Light Card, there are other programs available for carers, public sector workers, and other categories of workers who are also registered with the Butlin's Privilege Club.

Butlin's resort is a popular holiday destination for the whole family, but with the right tips and tricks, you can significantly save on travel. By knowing when to book and how to take advantage of various discount programs, you can have an unforgettable holiday experience without regretting the expenses.
