The British Museum invites you to a solo dinner: an exclusive experience for one.
A unique dinner experience at the British Museum with ITSU
According to The Sun: ITSU has teamed up with the British Museum to offer a unique dinner experience, and I was lucky enough to try it.
Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy dinner in the museum's Japanese room thanks to this noodle brand.
I dined for free at the British Museum Guests are served a full bowl of noodles with garnishes and beerThe atmosphere and dish selection
At first, it was a bit unusual to relax in the room due to the silence and my solitary state.
However, I quickly got used to this atmosphere, enjoying the calm that is rarely felt in crowded London restaurants.
Seated at the table, I admired the beautiful exhibits around me while waiting for my dish.
I expected the familiar supermarket noodles, but instead, I was offered a choice: Katsu curry or pork ramen.
I chose the ramen, which came with garnishes, and ordered a classic Asahi beer.
Impressions of the dish
Tasting the noodles, I felt how the delicious broth quickly alleviated my autumn symptoms.
In the silence, I understood why dining alone is so popular in Japan; I was able to truly enjoy the moment.
In the UK, dining alone is often considered shameful, but in reality, it is a very intimate and cultural experience.
Sitting in the British Museum among priceless exhibits, I felt special.
