A British citizen received a bill of 11.5 million pounds for a holiday in Malta.
Error in booking the holiday
According to The Sun: A woman who wanted to plan a budget holiday found herself in a curious situation when she was quoted a price of 11.5 million pounds.
Sandra Nikolaus found an offer for £260.35 per person for a week at the Qawra Palace Resort & Spa in Malta, with a flight from Luton next June.
Sandra Nikolaus received a quote of 11.5 million pounds for her holiday from TUI GettyShe said:
“I opened the TUI app looking for a budget holiday and this great deal in Malta with a double room and sea view for £260.35 popped up.
“I thought, that sounds pretty good... but I left it until the morning and then decided to book.”
However, when she woke up the next morning, she received a notification in the TUI app that the price had gone up.
Sandra was shocked:
“It was shocking. I started counting how many zeros were in that price.
“For two people, it turned out to be 11.5 million pounds.”
After a few hours, Sandra checked the website again and encountered the same situation. TUI had erroneously quoted the price for the purchase of the entire resort and spa, including the rights to the pool.

They added:
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.”
Sandra from Blackfield, Hampshire, continues to hope to book this offer — now at a reasonable price.
