Vietnam's Hoi An Named World's Cheapest Resort Again: What Tourists Buy There.
According to The Sun: Recently, the best overseas travel destinations were announced in terms of affordability. Hoi An in Vietnam was named the cheapest place for winter vacations.
A report on long-term holidays for 2025, prepared by the postal service, analyzed 30 destinations for long-distance travel, focusing on their accessibility.

I visited this city in Asia last year and was impressed by its low prices.
Popular beer Larue costs just £1 here, and Bia Hoi — Vietnam’s favorite fresh beer — is only 30 pence a glass.
Bia Hoi is considered one of the most affordable beers in the world, alongside other local varieties in Nigeria, Belarus, and China, according to the price comparison search engine Bountii.
An important feature of Vietnamese beer culture is serving it with ice and snacks such as peanuts, dried herring, or fermented pork rolls.
Tasty and Affordable Food in Hoi An
The food in Hoi An is equally delicious and affordable.
Bánh mì is a national dish that combines French and Vietnamese traditions.
Crunchy baguette filled with meat, such as pork or chicken, as well as pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, cucumber, and spicy sauce.
One of my favorite places for bánh mì is Madam Khanh, known as the “Queen of bánh mì,” which has been selling these sandwiches for over 30 years.
Accommodation in Hoi An is also very affordable.

It's worth it — I enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop by the pool to cool off in 30-degree heat.
Besides food and accommodation, one of the main attractions in Hoi An is the opportunity to order an inexpensive suit or dress.
I spent about £155 on two suits and linen trousers, which were tailored in 48 hours.

In London, I could have spent about £800 on tailor-made suits, so I saved thousands of pounds.
If you're interested in sightseeing, I recommend strolling through the old town.
Don’t forget about romantic boat trips along the Thu Bon River or relaxing on the golden sands of An Bang beach.
Take a boat in the evening to enjoy the bright lanterns along the shores.
