Tourism expert revealed a simple packing hack with notes for perfect packing.
According to The Sun: A travel agent revealed her genius way of using paper notes that will help you enjoy your vacation stress-free.
Only a few weeks of summer vacation are left, and many families are likely already planning to fly out and enjoy the summer sun.
During the quarantine, people can lose the habit of packing clothes.
And while vacations can provide the most precious memories, organizing a trip can be extremely stressful.
Claire Le Moigne has been working at TUI for 35 years and during that time has booked over 6000 vacations for loyal clients.
Throughout her long career, the travel agent has gathered numerous useful tips and believed in her simple method of using paper notes.
Using paper notes
When you arrive at the hotel and realize that you forgot your adapter, toothbrush, or favorite bikini?
In the chaos of packing, it is common for people to forget to take essential items with them.
To avoid this, Claire recommends writing a checklist on a piece of paper and attaching it to the door to help with packing.
“A week before departure, I write down a list of items I need to buy; essential things like sunscreen and insect repellent,” she told National World.
“This helps me stay as calm as possible on the way to the airport, knowing that everything is already in my suitcase.”
The person responsible for the trip added that before zipping up the suitcase, it is worth reviewing everything on the paper note and physically marking it off.
Don't overpack your suitcase
Claire revealed that 88% of Britons take clothes with them that they never wear during their vacation.
This clothing takes up space that could be used for important items and can mean that you will have to pay for extra baggage that you don’t need.
To avoid this trap, Claire recommends making a list of the exact outfits you will wear each day.
“Take a quick photo, and you will easily remember what options you have,” she added.
Skip folding clothes
While you might be tempted to use the same technique when packing your bag, Claire said that this can leave your clothes wrinkled—and nobody wants to iron clothes on vacation!
Instead, the travel agent shared her practice of rolling clothes, which keeps them wrinkle-free and is also a great space saver.
“If you need extra compression, you can try the 'bundling' method, where you wrap larger items around smaller ones,” she advises.
Reduce cosmetic products
Many people bring their entire bathroom cabinet while packing for vacations, but most hotels provide shampoo and shower gel in the rooms.
If you don't want to part from your favorite shampoo, it’s a good idea to get a few mini plastic bottles for decanting your weekly supply to help save space.
“Using makeup removers and solid cosmetic products like shampoo bars can also save space and prevent leaks,” she added.
If you are in a bag, it's better to wrap the bottle in a plastic bag to prevent any leaks during transport.
During vacation preparations, it's important not only to ensure your comfort and enjoyment but also to avoid unnecessary stress when packing. Therefore, it's useful to follow expert packing advice and plan your trip to avoid unnecessary hassle.Read also
