It is worth noting that the court selected a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 908.4 thousand hryvnias for the commander of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was previously notified of suspicion of exceeding official powers.

It was previously known that the leadership of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was abusing soldiers: demanding money, beating, and threatening to throw them "to the meat". One of the soldiers recounted that he was tied to a wooden cross and physically abused. According to reports, Vladislav Pastukh - son of the chief of staff Valerii Pastukh and godson of brigade commander Oleg Poberizhnyuk, at that Time a senior lieutenant, was behind this abuse. This story caused a great resonance within the brigade. Junior Pastukh was transferred to service in another unit, and his father paid money to the affected soldiers who filed complaints and confirmed them with transfer receipts.
