Pension indexation in Ukraine will take place as planned - on March 1, 2025. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a speech at the forum 'Ukraine. Year 2025'.

'Over the past three years, the government has fulfilled all social obligations, including pension payments. During this Time, Ukrainians have received 730 billion hryvnias in pensions and 180 billion hryvnias in other social payments,' said the head of the government.

According to Shmyhal, support for internally displaced persons and vulnerable families continues. In addition, a special winter aid package, initiated by the president, is in place, which includes 10 support programs for Ukrainian families and businesses.

As a reminder, pension indexation will occur in March 2025, with an increase of about 11.5% for most pensioners receiving old-age insurance pensions.

It is worth noting that not all pensioners will receive an increase. Indexation will not affect those who retired after January 1, 2025, as well as citizens who have been receiving a pension for less than three years.

As reported, the possibility of retiring at 60 years with 32 years of insurance experience will remain in Ukraine in 2025, while European countries are increasing the retirement age to 67 years.

In addition, for the calculation of pensions in 2025, the average salary indicator for the years 2022-2024 will be used, which is 15,057.09 UAH.
