The film 'Frankenstein' will be released in theaters and on Netflix this autumn, and Burghley House will be a key filming location. This estate, surrounded by vast parks, boasts grand architecture and historical rooms, making it an ideal place for a film.

This 16th-century mansion features over 100 luxurious rooms and is owned by the Burghley House Preservation Trust, founded by the late 6th Marquess of Exeter. Currently, this property is inhabited by the Marquess's grandson, Miranda Rock.

Although it is still a family property, the building is open to visitors. The interior offers exploration of numerous rooms, including an Elizabethan kitchen with nine-meter ceilings and 250 original copper pans.

On the kitchen wall, you can see small turtle skulls, which are said to indicate the Elizabethans' love for turtle soup.

The brown drawing room has historical ties to Queen Victoria, while the George rooms were used by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1844.

The George rooms feature large Italian paintings and delicate wooden decor.

The house is open to visitors daily from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The admission fee is £20 for adults and £9 for children from 3 to 15 years with prior booking. Ticket prices may vary on the day.

Surrounding the house are two sprawling gardens that are covered in flowers and greenery in the summer.

There is also a sculpture garden that serves as an open-air gallery.

Burghley House is a popular destination for family visits due to its large playground called 'Hide & Secrets'.

This playground features six themed zones, the tallest of which is 'Hidden Towers' with two slides, climbing walls, wobbly bridges, and tunnels.

For toddlers, there is a separate area with smaller slides and play zones. There are also accessible play areas and paths.

The park houses the 'The Muddy Mole' café, where visitors can grab a bite to eat.
