Bar Girl in Pattaya

According to The Sun: In Pattaya, known for its sex tourism, 33-year-old single mother Mali tries to attract men's attention by wearing a mini-top and short shorts.

Among her visitors, there are many Brits who have come to this 'city of sins'. Those who engage in conversation quickly realize that at Hookup Corner bar, much more is offered than just a chat.

Mali is one of thousands of girls working in Pattaya's bar industry. Over the years, police and politicians have made attempts to change the image of this city, trying to transform it into a more family-friendly destination. However, strolling through the red-light streets, it becomes obvious that these efforts are not yielding significant results.

A Wide Range of Sexual Services

Pattaya has hundreds of go-go bars, massage parlors, brothels, and sex clubs at every turn. They are often referred to as 'b***job bars', where the price of sex is only £12. The city earned the nickname 'pornographic Disneyland' from a British teacher.

Women can be hired for a short term, with the bar charging around £10 to take a girl to a hotel where payment for her services is discussed. There’s also the option to take a woman for a 'long time', meaning for a night or even several days, playing the role of a 'wife'.

Mali, although this is not her real name, had several relationships, including with a British truck driver who sent her £100 a month and fell in love with her.

“We communicated every day. He really connected with my family, and we even set a wedding date.”

Unfortunately, this story ended poorly: long-term relationships and language and cultural barriers led to the breaking of the engagement.

Dreams and Financial Goals

Mali admits that, despite potential suitors, she no longer seeks relationships with foreigners and has focused on her financial goals — she intends to save enough money to open her own business.

“I plan to work in the bar for another three to four years, and then go home and start a small resort.”

She is trying to save money and hopes that her 17-year-old daughter, who currently lives in Bangkok, will join her when she starts her business.
