Systematic Ukrainian Strikes Cripple Russian Military Logistics: Chongar Under Constant Attack.
Military Operations Around Chongar
According to Novyny.live: Significant military operations are ongoing in the Chongar area, directly impacting the supply lines for Russian forces in occupied Crimea. This region serves as a critical corridor for moving equipment, ammunition, and fuel into southern Ukraine. In 2023, Ukraine launched its first attack on Chongar, demonstrating its growing ability to hit targets far behind the front lines.
Frequent Strikes and Strategic Importance
According to Serhiy Bratchuk, attacks on Chongar have become a routine occurrence.
“Today, we see that operations in the Chongar area are essentially being carried out on a regular basis,” he stated. This indicates a focused effort by Ukrainian forces to dismantle the logistics routes used by the Russian military. Bratchuk emphasized that the targets include not only Chongar itself but also railway infrastructure, oil refineries, fuel depots, and other assets critical to sustaining Russian combat operations.
Additionally, Russian troops have shifted some traffic toward the Armyansk area in an attempt to reduce the risk of further strikes. Meanwhile, attacks on Russian oil refineries in Crimea have created a gasoline shortage, which could significantly complicate supply chains for occupation forces.
“Today, no one is surprised by the distance of 1,500 or even 2,000 kilometers that Ukrainian drones can cover,” Bratchuk added, highlighting the expanded capabilities of Ukraine’s military.
As a result, the Chongar area remains a key strategic target where Ukrainian forces are actively working to destroy Russian logistics routes—a move that directly influences the broader situation in the region.
This focus on Chongar underscores the crucial role of logistics in modern warfare. Disrupting Russian supply lines in Crimea could severely reduce their operational effectiveness and combat capability. The situation in the region is expected to stay tense as both sides adjust their strategies in response to shifting conditions on the ground.
