Overnight Strike in Volgograd Region

According to UATV: On the night of June 13, 2023, Ukraine’s defense forces targeted an oil preparation and pumping facility located in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation. The attack resulted in a confirmed fire at the site, which is situated near the settlement of Kotovo. This operation is part of Ukraine’s broader efforts to disrupt Russian energy infrastructure that supports military logistics.

The facility plays a critical role in preparing, transporting, and pumping oil through major pipelines. It collects and processes crude oil from the Korobkovskoye oil field and nearby deposits, making it strategically significant for the region’s energy supply.

Broader Ukrainian Military Activity

Additionally, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that during this operation, they also struck enemy command posts in the areas of Soledar, Donetsk region, and Verkhnya Krynytsia, Zaporizhzhia region.
