Iran Tells U.S. It Could Produce 11 Nuclear Bombs, Revealing Failed Talks.
U.S.-Iran Negotiations
According to UATV: During recent negotiations, Iranian officials informed their American counterparts that the country possesses 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%, a stockpile they stated is sufficient to produce 11 nuclear bombs. The primary U.S. objective in these talks was to limit Iran's military capabilities, but the discussions ultimately failed to produce an agreement. U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff reported that the Iranian delegation made this direct declaration during the meetings.
Outcome of the Talks
Multiple rounds of negotiations were held, yet despite efforts from both sides, they yielded no positive results. Steve Witkoff noted that while the Iranian side had hoped for a favorable outcome, the meeting was not successful in reality.
“They wanted us to report positive results. But this meeting was not positive,” he emphasized.
Consequently, despite attempts to find a compromise, the prospects for limiting Iran's military potential remain uncertain. This development underscores the persistent challenges in managing Iran's nuclear program, a long-standing source of international tension. The failure to secure a deal could lead to:
- Further destabilization in the region
- Increased efforts by the international community to control Tehran's nuclear ambitions
