Iranian woman shot in the eye during protests: what is happening with the regime three years later.
According to The Sun: A woman from Iran, who lost an eye due to the brutal actions of the morality police, expressed her desire to continue fighting against the regime.
Elaheh Tavakolian became a victim of the police during protests that erupted after the death of Mahsa Amini — a woman who died during her detention for violating hijab rules.

At the time of the attack, Elaheh was protecting her children and sister when she heard gunshots and saw a police officer aiming at her.
As a result of the shot to her right eye, she sustained serious injuries.
Despite losing an eye and being in exile, Elaheh continues to fight for the memory of Mahsa even three years later.
“I paid the price for protesting, but my voice will not be silenced in the fight against the bloodthirsty mullahs,” she noted.
Along with other victims, she urged world leaders to honor the memory of Mahsa on September 16.
“This means putting an end to executions, systematic repression, corruption, and returning Iran to its people,” she added.
The death of Mahsa became a symbol of the Iranian people's struggle for freedom, and Elaheh emphasized that women do not stop protesting, despite the risks to their lives.
She underscored that the international community must act against the regime, as it poses a threat to global security.
“This regime does not represent the people of Iran, and it must go for Iran to breathe,” she said.
Elaheh also pointed out that women and youth in Iran are hearing their voices in the world, despite all the repressions.

Elaheh also emphasized that the Iranian authorities have failed to provide welfare to the people, as their survival depends only on violence.
The international community must act for its own security
More than 100 families of victims and the victims themselves of the Iranian regime have sent an open letter to world leaders.
This call for the international community to take action against the growing violence and repression by the Islamic Republic came amid the commemoration of the third anniversary of Mahsa Amini's brutal death.
“Leaders and peoples of the world, we, the signatories, victims and relatives of victims, along with our loved ones, took to the streets during national uprisings...
The letter emphasizes the need for urgent actions, including recognizing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization and imposing sanctions against its financial and military structures.
