Support for Refugees from Ukraine in Ireland
Larisa Gerasko, Ukraine's ambassador to Ireland, reported that last year Ireland spent around two billion euros to support Ukrainian refugees. The Irish government has reduced housing assistance for Ukrainians from 800 to 600 euros per month, but continues to provide support through other programs.
The Irish government has provided significant support to Ukraine, including technical means for the Armed Forces and financial assistance. The Ukrainian ambassador also highlighted the considerable expenses incurred by Ireland for maintaining Ukrainian refugees, despite the reduction in some forms of assistance.
These latest shipments of equipment confirm the ongoing support that Ireland provides to Ukraine in the context of military aggression. The country remains an important partner, actively helping in both military and humanitarian matters. This demonstrates the determination and solidarity of the international community in Ukraine's fight for independence.
