Riga: the largest Art Nouveau collection in the world and other attractions of the Latvian capital.

“Riga was named one of the most affordable cities for travel this year according to the Post Office, making it a great option for a budget trip,” she noted.
“It has the largest concentration of Art Nouveau buildings in the world - over 800 in the city.”
“Just walking through the city, you will feel as if you are traveling back in time to the golden era.”
Must-visit places
The Art Nouveau district of Riga is definitely worth a visit, especially Alberta Street, which impresses with its architectural heritage of the 20th century, luxurious sculptures, and columns.
Don’t forget to check out the ‘pink church’ (officially the Holy Trinity Cathedral) – a baroque chapel from the 17th century.
Secret corner
Only an hour's drive from Riga is Saulkrasti beach, which is considered one of the best-kept secrets of Europe and remains relatively quiet throughout the year.
Walkers can take advantage of three kilometers of walking paths along the shore, and on windy days, the sea attracts surfers.
Best view
Visit the top of the St. Peter's Church spire for a panoramic view of Riga.
The elevator will take you to the observation deck where you can enjoy a stunning view of the city with its bright roofs and the Daugava River.

Recommended restaurant
Among the most famous establishments is restaurant Rozengrāls, which has a medieval theme and offers romantic candlelit dinners.
Guests can taste authentic dishes that have delighted kings, such as a bird liver salad, the recipe of which has been reconstructed from an ancient book, or a spinach and cheese pie – a favorite dish of King Edward during Lent.
Best bars
To enjoy a 360-degree view of the city, visit the Skyline Bar on the 26th floor of the Radisson Blu hotel.
Try the Green Mile cocktail, which, according to the staff, resembles a walk through one of Riga's twenty parks.

A1 Hotel in Riga is located on the upper floors of a historic building in the city center, making it an ideal base for exploring major attractions.
The Old Town is just a 15-minute walk away, where you can stroll through narrow streets and enjoy traditional cuisine.
