Deferral from mobilization for military personnel under the Contract 18-24
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this in Telegram.
According to Shmyhal's explanation, the draft law provides for a deferral from mobilization for military personnel who joined the army under the contract for 18-24 years for one year after they reach the age of 25.
'Thus, all those who voluntarily joined the army under the contract will have the right to a deferral for 12 months after reaching the age of 25.'
- noted the minister.
Earlier, we wrote about the possibility of obtaining a deferral in August, as well as that thousands of servicemen may lose this right as early as this month. More details on further actions in this matter can be found at this link.
The state introduces a new rule that provides military personnel serving under the Contract 18-24 program the opportunity to obtain a deferral from mobilization for 12 months after they reach the age of 25. This will promote the strengthening of contract service and voluntary enlistment in the army.Read also
