The Cabinet has reorganized ministries — what has changed.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to close and reorganize several ministries. In particular, the Ministry for Strategic Industries has ceased to exist.
This information was conveyed by Taras Melnychuk, the Cabinet's representative, in the Verkhovna Rada via the Telegram messenger on Monday, July 21.
According to the approved changes, the Ministry of Nationalities and the Ministry of Social Policy have been merged under one name - the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, as well as the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, have also been dissolved. Their functions will now be performed by the reformed Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.
Furthermore, the Ministry for Strategic Industries has been abolished, with its functions transferred to the Ministry of Defense.
In the context of these changes, Volodymyr Zelensky identified tasks for the Ministry of Defense during the leadership of Denys Shmyhal.
It was also reported earlier that the President of Ukraine appointed new ambassadors in 16 countries.
The government of Ukraine has decided to close and reorganize several ministries, merging some into one and delegating functions to other agencies, which is taking place in the context of strategic changes in the government’s work and the tasks set by the President.
