Canada may deploy army in Ukraine: what Prime Minister Carney stated.
According to ТСН: Canada plans to deploy its army in Ukraine as part of multinational forces and provide training for Ukrainian soldiers, but only after a peace agreement is reached.
This was reported by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. He noted that this is currently just a possibility. According to him, participation in multinational efforts will have a "much greater impact than if we acted alone." In addition, Ottawa is discussing its "appropriate and serious contribution" to ensuring Ukraine's security guarantees.
The Prime Minister added that Canada's initial contribution to security guarantees for Ukraine may involve training the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as Canadian soldiers are already conducting training in Poland as part of Operation Unifier.
"The government's efforts to enhance military capability will help the country play a significant role in ensuring Ukraine's security after the war ends," he emphasized.
Foreign troops in Ukraine
A declaration on the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine after a ceasefire was signed in Paris. Foreign soldiers will provide "calming measures in the air, at sea, and on the ground" and facilitate the "recovery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
French President Emmanuel Macron noted that the signed declaration provides for the creation of multinational forces to guarantee security. It was also agreed that the size of the Ukrainian army after the war would be up to 800,000 personnel.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer specified that London and Paris plan to deploy their armed forces on Ukrainian territory immediately after a peace agreement is reached to ensure stability and strengthen security guarantees.
These initiatives demonstrate international support for Ukraine in its pursuit of stability and security after the conflict. The deployment of troops as part of multinational forces underscores the importance of collective efforts in ensuring a peaceful and secure future for the region.
