A fraudster was detained in Kyiv: promised to extend disability for 15 thousand dollars.
In Kyiv, a man promised to help a draft dodger extend his disability group for 15 thousand dollars. In addition, he wanted to resolve the issue of his departure abroad. Law enforcement officials have issued him a suspect notice.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv city prosecutor's office on Tuesday, August 5th.
Disability group and departure abroad
A Kyiv resident with a disability, whose term ends in August 2025, was promised assistance in extending it.
'To do this, it is necessary to conclude a declaration with a certain doctor, who will refer to a medical and social examination, where a necessary conclusion will be provided, and the disability group will be extended. This will allow obtaining an official deferment from mobilization and legally leaving the country.'
The man valued his 'services' at 15 thousand dollars. The prosecutor's office noted that the suspect tried to be very cautious. He only worked with clients recommended by acquaintances.
The suspect was detained after receiving the money. A preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 908 thousand hryvnias has already been selected for him.
