According to Укрінформ — Транспорт: From July 22, the one-time fare for the Kyiv Ring Electric Train will change and will be between 30 and 37 UAH depending on the method of ticket purchase. This decision was made due to rising costs of train maintenance and the lack of compensation from the city.

The changed fare includes different rates depending on the payment method:

• Ticket in the Ukrzaliznytsia and "Kyiv Digital" applications - 30 UAH.
• Payment via validators or self-service terminals "Kyiv Digital" - 34.20 UAH.
• Ukrzaliznytsia self-service terminals - 36.70 UAH.
• Ticket offices or a traveling cashier in the car - 37 UAH.

This fare change occurs against the backdrop of general price increases in the capital. For example, from July 15, the fare in Kyiv's public transport also rose to 30 UAH. It is important to note that the Kyiv Ring Electric Train transports tens of thousands of passengers daily, making this decision relevant for many people.

Additionally, Ukrzaliznytsia has a debt of 10 million UAH for transporting certain categories of passengers since the beginning of 2026, which also affects the financial situation regarding the maintenance of electric trains. Given these factors, the new rates could be an important step towards stabilizing transport finances in the capital.
