Kyivstar Acquires Over 6,000 Generators to Maintain Mobile Service During Power Outages.
Kyivstar's Initiative for Stable Connectivity
According to TSN.ua: Kyivstar is collaborating with the Ukrainian Government and the Ministry of Digital Transformation to ensure its network remains operational during widespread power cuts. As part of this effort, the company has purchased more than 6,000 mobile generators to sustain communication in critical situations. This initiative is crucial for a nation where infrastructure faces immense strain due to the ongoing conflict. Kyivstar has also distributed a portion of these new generators to local communities, which will improve on-the-ground connectivity, especially during electricity blackouts.
Enhanced Emergency Response Measures
Furthermore, Kyivstar has strengthened its emergency repair teams by deploying engineers and staff from other departments. This move is designed to ensure a rapid response to emerging issues and swift network restoration when needed. It is important to note that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the autonomous operation time of the mobile network has been extended more than fourfold. These measures are all aimed at providing stable communication for Ukrainians under extremely challenging conditions, where a reliable connection can be a lifeline.
Kyivstar's initiative represents a significant step in ensuring uninterrupted communication across Ukraine, particularly as critical infrastructure endures severe strain from the armed conflict. Maintaining connectivity in crisis situations not only facilitates essential communication but also enhances the capacity for aid delivery and emergency coordination. These actions underscore the increasingly vital role of technology in supporting national security and stability during wartime.
