PrivatBank Customers Outraged Over Fees for Transferring Their Own Money from 'Konvert' Account.
Customer Backlash Over New Transfer Charges at PrivatBank
According to Novyny.live: Users of PrivatBank have voiced frustration after discovering that the bank imposes a fee for transferring funds via its 'Konvert' service. Originally designed as a savings tool, this feature now incurs charges that have sparked widespread discontent among account holders.
One female customer was charged 10 hryvnias for moving money from her 'Konvert' account to her payroll card. Under the updated terms, a 0.5% fee applies when transferring funds to the 'Payment Card' if the amount exceeds the initial deposit made into the 'Konvert' account. However, no commission is charged for transfers to 'Universal' or 'Universal Gold' cards.
Updated Limits and Service Adjustments
Additionally, PrivatBank has imposed a monthly limit of 50,000 hryvnias on currency purchases through Privat24. As of June 1, 2023, the bank also discontinued preferential terms for international transfer operations.
The customer remarked: 'So, I put money from my payroll card into the Konvert and paid 10 hryvnias just to return my salary back to the payroll card.'
This incident highlights that the new fee structure has triggered a negative response from users, who anticipated that the 'Konvert' service would remain free for retrieving their own funds.
The controversy over fees for transfers from 'Konvert' reflects a shift in the bank's customer service approach, potentially impacting trust in its financial products. Given the recent changes in service conditions and limits, customers should stay vigilant about new policies and their implications for financial transactions.
