HUR staged the assassination of the RDK commander: Russia paid half a million for the elimination.
According to ТСН: The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted an impressive special operation in which they staged the elimination of the commander of the 'Russian Volunteer Corps' (RDK) Denis Kapustin, call sign White Rex. The Russian special services assessed this operation at half a million dollars. Ukrainian intelligence managed not only to save the commander's life but also to uncover a network of customers and executors in Russia.
Essence of the operation
The assassination of the RDK commander, who opposes Russia as part of the 'Timur Special Unit' of the HUR, was ordered by the Russian special service, which allocated significant funds for this purpose. For over a month, the Ukrainian military intelligence implemented this operation, and ultimately, Kapustin remained alive. It is known that President Putin considers him a personal enemy, and the identities of the customers among the Russian special services have also been established.
'Our side has also received the corresponding sum of money allocated by the Russian special services for the implementation of this crime. As of now, the RDK commander is on the territory of Ukraine and is preparing to continue executing the assigned tasks.'
— reported the commander of the 'Timur Special Unit' during a briefing to the head of the HUR, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.
Greetings and readiness for service
The RDK commander participated in the briefing via video link, and General Budanov greeted him:
'First of all, Mr. Denis, I congratulate you on your return to life. It is always nice. I am glad that the funds received for the order of your elimination went to help our struggle. I wish us all, and you personally, success.'
Kapustin confirmed his readiness to continue carrying out combat missions:
'My temporary absence did not affect the quality and success of our combat missions. I am ready to be deployed to the area of operations and continue commanding the RDK unit.'
— noted the commander.
General Budanov thanked Timur and the team of military intelligence officers for successfully carrying out the special operation.
It should be noted that earlier in the RDK, they reported the death of Denis Kapustin as a result of an FPV drone strike during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
This well-planned operation emphasizes the complexity and riskiness of the activities of Ukrainian intelligence agents, who not only carry out combat tasks but also manage information operations. Uncovering the customers in Russia can significantly impact the further strategy of conducting combat operations, as each such success strengthens Ukraine's position in the conflict and undermines confidence in the Russian intelligence.
