NABU uncovered a theft scheme in procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: among the figures is a people's deputy.

The employees of NABU and SAP have uncovered participants in a scheme for embezzling funds for the procurement of drones and electronic warfare systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among them is a people's deputy from the 'Servant of the People' party

According to information, NABU detectives began an investigation into the embezzlement of funds and the receipt of bribes during procurement in the defense sector in the second half of 2024. The scheme of illegal acquisition of funds and provision/receipt of improper benefits has been identified, involving Oleksiy Kuznetsov and Serhiy Haidai.

Procurement fraud involving FPV drones

According to the investigation, Kuznetsov and other participants made a state contract for the production of FPV drones at inflated cost.

According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, a large-scale scheme of embezzling funds in procurement for the Armed Forces has been exposed. New details were published by the law enforcement officers of NABU and SAP, who detained four participants.
