Every fourth Ukrainian is ready for risky work abroad: survey data.
Willingness of Ukrainians to work abroad
According to inkorr.com: According to the survey results, Ukrainians are willing to take risks in search of work abroad. 27% of respondents expressed a desire to try their hand at such experiments. This concerns not only work without official employment but also opportunities that may threaten their well-being, including risks related to human trafficking. In particular, 17% of respondents are ready to work without documents and contracts, which increases risks to their rights. Another 13% of Ukrainians agree to work in closed premises abroad, while 9% consider such conditions acceptable even in Ukraine.
Even 2% of respondents are willing to give their personal belongings, including mobile phones, to the employer for the duration of employment.
Experts urge caution and emphasize the importance of legal employment, as well as the necessity of checking employers, especially abroad. Risky conditions can lead to exploitation, including human trafficking.
Situation in the domestic labor market
At the same time, there is a different picture in the domestic labor market in Ukraine: there are vacancies, but there is a lack of job seekers, particularly for 10 different specialties. From niche professions to medical and government positions, no resumes have been received since the beginning of the year.
The situation in the labor market in Ukraine indicates complex trends. Against the backdrop of those willing to seek work abroad, there is a growing shortage of qualified personnel within the country. This indicates the need for new strategies to enhance the attractiveness of the domestic labor market and create conditions to encourage Ukrainians to stay and work at home.
