Easter egg from the word 'paint'? Linguist explained the philological puzzle of the ancient symbol.


In domestic dictionaries, the word 'крашанка' appears as a Ukrainian word and has two meanings: to paint and to decorate. Linguist Olga Vasilieva noted that this word is literary and is still used by Ukrainians today.
On the other hand, it is worth noting that the word 'coffee' is not a literary norm in the Ukrainian language, as previously reported by Olga Vasilieva.
In Ukraine, Russian words have become much more common, among which is the word 'крашанка'. In this context, the linguist explained that it is a Ukrainian word and has roots in the Ukrainian language.
Referring to old dictionaries, she noted that 'крашанка' means 'to paint' and 'to decorate'. She also provided an example of the use of the word 'фарба' in the Ukrainian language. She noted that the modern literary norm favors the word 'фарба', but this does not mean that 'краска' is not a Ukrainian word.
It is worth noting that the word 'крашанка' is literary and continues to be used in the modern Ukrainian language.
