Tourist tax in Ukraine increased by 36%: top-10 regions named.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainians are actively traveling across the country: in the first nine months of 2025, local budgets received 234.4 million UAH in tourist tax. This is 36% more compared to last year and one and a half times more than before the full-scale war began. OpenDataBot presented a ranking of the regions where Ukrainians most frequently traveled for recreation based on the volumes of tourist tax.
Growth of tourist tax in Ukraine
During the summer period, from July to September, enterprises paid 91.7 million UAH — 20% more than in the second quarter. More detailed data can be found in the news source.
Main sources of revenue
More than half of the tourist tax (53%) comes from contributions from large companies: hotels, sanatoria, and recreation centers. The other 47% (109.2 million UAH) were paid by apartment, farmhouse, and small accommodation owners. At the same time, revenue from small businesses increased by 39%, while from large businesses — only by 6.5%.

Vinnytsia region — 6.63 million UAH
Poltava region — 5.63 million UAH
Cherkasy region — 4.59 million UAH
In general, the activity of Ukrainians in domestic tourism indicates a gradual recovery of the industry, despite the war and economic challenges. This underscores the importance of domestic tourism for the country; it not only generates income but also contributes to regional development and infrastructure improvement.
