Where has Vitaliy Kim disappeared to and how does Mykolaiv live — an exclusive interview.
The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, spoke about the current situation in the region. He provided detailed information on the state of critical infrastructure in Mykolaiv.
According to Kim, despite the constant threats from Russian troops, the city has managed to maintain governance and ensure the functioning of basic life support systems. The issue of restoring destroyed facilities was also discussed — both in Mykolaiv itself and in the region.
Kim specifically addressed the topic of opening ports, which is strategically important for the region's economy. He also commented on the prospect of restoring the operation of beaches — this summer, security remains a priority.
Another important issue concerned the adaptation of Mykolaiv’s air defense to new challenges. According to the head of the OVA, the air defense system is constantly being improved considering changes in the enemy's tactics.
Finally, Vitaliy Kim answered the question that troubled many residents — why he has disappeared from the information space lately. The official explained this necessity to focus on work in the conditions of a new phase of war, where the effectiveness of actions is often more important than public visibility.
It should be noted that Mykolaiv has returned to its pre-war population levels, and the streets of the city have seen an increase in the use of the Ukrainian language. Additionally, the city has begun to actively develop, particularly with the support of international partners.
Recently, we wrote about conscription with violence in Mykolaiv.
Summary
Work continues in Mykolaiv to restore and support critical infrastructure, as well as to prepare for potential threats. The city is actively developing and adapting to new conditions, taking into account possible risks.
