Kuleba calls to speed up PPO after the strike

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged his Western partners to immediately deliver air defense systems after Russia attacked Poltava.

He made this statement during an interview on CNN.

The only way to intercept such a missile is to have a Patriot system or a SAMP/T air defense system, as only they can intercept ballistic missiles

Kuleba noted that the Russian attack on a military institute and hospital in Poltava is evidence of the necessity to accelerate deliveries of air defense systems to Ukraine. Russia used a ballistic missile that reached its target in a short Time, leaving people no chance to evade it.

The Minister expressed hope that this tragedy would become a catalyst for fulfilling all promises and taking on new commitments to assist Ukraine.

Let us recall that on September 3, Russia launched a double missile attack on a military institute in Poltava and a nearby hospital. The death toll reached 51 people, and another 219 were injured.

Earlier, NATO agreed to provide Ukraine with seven air defense systems, but some of these Patriot systems have not yet been delivered.

Let us recall that Syrskyi commented on the missile strike on Poltava: the aggressor country will bear responsibility for its crimes.
