Civil Defense and Medical Assistance Courses: Poland Decides to Prepare the Population for War with Russia.

The Polish Authorities Prepare the Population for Possible War with Russia
The Chief of the Polish General Staff, Włodzimierz Kukła, stated that the Polish authorities plan to prepare all citizens for a possible war with Russia. Short-term courses on civil defense and first aid for individuals without military experience are planned as part of this initiative.
A program to improve firearm proficiency for those with military experience is also in the works, along with the expansion of the school program 'Education with the Army'. The main goal of such measures is to prepare society for the consequences of crisis situations.
We must prepare society for the consequences of a crisis, even if not everyone undergoes military training, said the Chief of the Polish General Staff, Włodzimierz Kukła.
Under this program, Poles will be taught skills that will be useful in both military and civilian life. Special attention will be paid to the basics of cybersecurity and medicine. Moreover, Kukła noted that such skills would also be beneficial in the job market.
The authorities are also considering the possibility of incentivizing program participants and their employers through compensation or tax benefits.
We want the Polish state to show respect for those who make efforts in our defense. If we are ready, and if Russia knows that we are ready, that will be an important deterrent factor, emphasized the Chief of the General Staff.
It should be noted that Poland spends the most on defense in NATO - 4.7% of GDP. The country has the largest army in the EU and allocates significant funds for armament.
