According to The Sun: Life is a celebration for Lennox Lewis, who is about to turn 60.

The legend of British boxing enjoys his retirement without regrets for the past, stating:

“You have to leave people wanting more — and I took that into account.”

His heavyweight career lasted 15 years, during which he became a world champion three times.

Lewis won the title of undisputed world champion in 1999, securing his place among the greatest boxers of all time.

He, the Olympic champion of 1988, was the last undisputed heavyweight champion until Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk succeeded in this category.

Lewis is always present on lists of the best fighters from Britain, with 42 wins, two losses, and one draw.

The Briton dominated the boxing world, achieving epic victories over such rivals as Evander Holyfield, Frank Bruno, Mike Tyson, and Vitali Klitschko.

A true legend of boxing

Lewis noted: “Tomorrow I will blow out 60 candles” and joked:

“For the next 60 years, I will be on the beach, enjoying life.”

The boxer, who retired in 2004 at the age of 38, shared:

“I am truly happy when I think back on my career. You have to leave people wanting more, and I took that into account.”

The legend emphasized that she never did anything she didn't want to, to make money or stay in the spotlight.

Lewis also stated:

“Many heavyweights, including Britons, have tried or are trying to achieve what I have, and they have not succeeded.”

He added that the public did not immediately accept him, as he won Olympic gold for Canada, but over time he gained the love of British fans.

The importance of family

Lewis shared memories of his mother Violet, who has been his inspiration and support throughout his career:

“When I first started boxing, my mom was worried about me. But when I started winning, she became happy for me and got actively involved.”
