News from the front

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 47 air strikes, launching 86 guided aerial bombs and involving over a thousand kamikaze drones in combat. In addition, there were 3923 shelling incidents on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

Recent events on the front

On May 16, there were 115 combat encounters, where Ukrainian forces are actively resisting the aggressor and trying to destroy its advance and exhaust its combat capabilities. The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction.

Situation in other directions

• Kharkiv direction: intense assaults in the areas of Vovchansk, Stroiivka, and Kamianka.
• Kupiansk direction: three enemy attacks were stopped in the relevant regions.
• Lyman direction: a number of attacks on the defense positions of Ukrainian troops near numerous settlements.

There were also assaults, shelling, and air strikes recorded from the enemy in other directions, indicating its hidden intentions and plan to continue hostile actions.
