Summer 'offensive' of the Russian Federation — Hetman explained the situation near Pokrovsk.
Information that the Russians continue to attempt to advance on the Pokrovsk direction is part of the information war. The enemy is not achieving significant victories despite prolonged combat operations.
Situation on the Pokrovsk direction
Oleksiy Hetman, a military observer, claims that the Russians have not made any significant advance near Pokrovsk. Their successes are measured in mere meters.
'For a year and a half, we have been hearing about advances near Pokrovsk, but nothing is happening. The tactical successes of the enemy are measured in meters, while our forces are delivering counterstrikes. There is no significant breakthrough there.'
The military observer noted that the Russians have gathered over 100,000 servicemen near Pokrovsk, but have been unable to encircle the city or cut off supply routes.
He also pointed out that such information coming from the enemy is aimed at psychologically undermining the spirit of Ukrainians.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to eliminate Russian sabotage groups in the Pokrovsk direction. The Institute for the Study of War also reported that Ukrainian forces are advancing in Donetsk region.
Reports of the unsuccessful progress of Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction indicate that the enemy cannot achieve significant gains, and attempts to demoralize Ukrainians fall short of just being information manipulation. Ukrainian forces continue to operate successfully in response to the threat.Read also
