A retro train from 1938 launches in London: where and when you can ride.
According to The Sun: The London Underground has always been a significant symbol of the capital, and now everyone will have the opportunity to fly back in time on a vintage art-deco train.
"On the occasion of the Railway 200 event and the 25th anniversary of Transport for London, the London Transport Museum is launching a unique event where the public can board and travel back in time on a train from 1938."
This restored train with four carriages will run from September 5 to 7, traveling from Amersham station to Harrow-on-the-Hill or Watford, depending on the day. One of the trips will also take place on a rarely used "secret" railway line known as the Northern curve.
The passengers will enjoy the picturesque green suburbs of "Metroland", which played an important role in the development of the London Underground network as we know it today.
The unique event on the vintage train from the London Transport Museum will allow passengers to immerse themselves in the history of the urban transport system and feel the atmosphere of bygone eras. During these days, everyone will have the chance to feel like a part of London's history while traveling on a unique vintage train.
