According to Novyny.live: In response to the challenging energy situation in the region, the grid operator Lvivoblenergo has implemented scheduled hourly power outages for Lviv and the surrounding area on January 28. These rolling blackouts are a common measure to manage electricity supply during periods of national strain on the power grid.
The outages will be carried out according to a rotational schedule across different groups:
- Group 1.1: outages from 02:30 to 06:00, 13:00 to 16:30, and 23:30 to 24:00.
- Group 1.2: outages from 06:00 to 09:30 and 13:00 to 16:30.
- Group 2.1: outages from 02:30 to 06:00, 09:30 to 13:00, and 20:00 to 22:00.
- Group 2.2: outages from 06:00 to 09:30, 13:00 to 16:30, and 23:30 to 24:00.
- Group 3.1: outages from 00:00 to 02:30, 06:00 to 09:30, and 16:30 to 20:00.
- Group 3.2: outages from 20:00 to 24:00.
- Group 4.1: outages from 02:30 to 06:00 and 16:30 to 20:00.
- Group 4.2: outages from 09:30 to 13:00 and 16:30 to 20:00.
- Group 5.1: outages from 00:00 to 02:30 and 09:30 to 13:00.
- Group 5.2: outages from 00:00 to 02:30, 09:30 to 13:00, and 20:00 to 23:30.
- Group 6.1: outages from 13:00 to 16:30 and 20:00 to 23:30.
- Group 6.2: outages from 06:00 to 09:30 and 16:30 to 20:00.
The primary goal of these scheduled blackouts is to ensure the overall stability of the region's power supply.
The introduction of hourly power outage schedules in Lviv and the region is a direct response to the difficult energy situation currently facing Ukraine.
During energy crises, such measures help optimize electricity consumption and protect critical infrastructure. Residents are strongly advised to review the schedules for their specific group to plan their daily activities around the anticipated outages.
