Regarding consumer rights, the company stated that customers who purchased tickets by credit card should contact the card issuer for refunds. Those who bought package tours through travel agencies in the European Economic Area should reach out to their agents.

PLAY started its operations in 2019, offering flights to six European cities – Alicante, Tenerife, London, Paris, Copenhagen, and Berlin. The airline's first flights occurred in 2021.

Flights from London Stansted included Washington and Boston, with a mandatory stopover in Reykjavik, Iceland. However, at the beginning of this year, PLAY announced the cancellation of all flights from the UK to the USA.

Fly PLAY, which managed to gain popularity due to affordable fares and new routes, is now facing serious financial difficulties leading to its shutdown. This decision will certainly impact many passengers who had travel plans, and create challenges for 400 employees who are left without work.
