Carnival Cruise cancels sailings in 2026: which cruises will not take place

According to The Sun: Carnival Cruise Line has decided to cancel additional sailings due to delays. One of the casualties is the scheduled dry dock for Carnival Conquest.

Even more cruises have been canceled, marking the next wave of disappointment for the cruise line.

Carnival Conquest, which typically serves cruises to the Bahamas from Miami, will not operate in February 2026, leading to the cancellation of four upcoming sailings.

The ship's upgrade has been delayed again, resulting in the cancellation of four cruises scheduled for February 6, 9, 13, and 16, 2026.

Colin Oliviero, Vice President of Guest Operations at Carnival, acknowledged the frustration of customers but assured that their money is safe and alternative options are available.

He confirmed in a letter: 'We have several alternatives and we are confident that you will find another cruise with Carnival that will be filled with the same amount of fun.'

Passengers who were booked on the canceled cruises have the option to rebook alternative cruises at the original rates and will receive an additional onboard credit or may request a full refund along with compensation for non-refundable expenses.

Other challenges in the cruise industry include MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line, both of which have had to cancel months of cruises due to various issues.

Recalling past incidents, the infamous Carnival Triumph cruise liner experienced a nightmarish voyage in 2013, known as the Poop Cruise, where passengers faced horrific conditions after a fire onboard left the ship stranded at sea.

Carnival Cruise Line has decided to cancel yet more additional sailings due to delays, resulting in the cancellation of several trips. Passengers have the option to choose other cruises at the old rates, receive credits for onboard services, or may demand a full refund along with compensation for non-refundable expenses. This situation is just part of the issues in the cruise industry, as other lines also face problems with canceled sailings due to various setbacks.
