Almost 900 hryvnias more: Ukrainians revealed how to increase their future pension.
The size of the future pension in Ukraine directly depends on the salary and insurance record of the employee. However, the amount of pension payments also depends on the age at which a person decides to retire.
To calculate the future pension with a salary of 22,000 hryvnias, it is necessary to take into account the employee's insurance record. Experts consider an example of calculating payments for a person who has 30 years of work experience, - reports 24 Kanal.
In 2025, Ukraine increased the requirements for the insurance record, which affects the retirement age. Now, to receive a pension at 60 years old, it is necessary to have at least 32 years of experience for both men and women. Retirement at 63 years is possible with an experience of 22 to 31 years, and to receive a pension at 65 years, it is enough to have from 15 to 21 years of experience.
Thus, a person with a 30-year record in 2025 will only be able to retire at 63 or 65 years, since insufficient insurance record does not allow to cease work activity at 60 years.
With a salary of 22,000 hryvnias and 30 years of experience, the choice of retirement age affects the amount of pension payments. If a person decides to cease work activity at 63 years, their pension will be about 8,532 hryvnias per month.
Retiring at 65 years, pension payments will increase to 9,400 hryvnias per month, which is 900 hryvnias more than receiving a pension at 63 years.
Experts emphasize that a longer insurance record contributes to receiving a larger pension at the same salary. This makes official work and the accumulation of work experience more attractive for citizens, ensuring a decent old age.
Ukrainians can count on pension payments that will directly depend on their salary, insurance record, and choice of age for retirement. The increased requirements for insurance record in 2025 encourage citizens to pay more attention to their career development and work experience to ensure a comfortable pension in the future.
