Macron and Zelensky agreed on an urgent meeting: what will be discussed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron regarding strengthening defense support and expanding military cooperation.
The main topic of the conversation was the situation in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. Zelensky detailed the course of the Kursk operation, during which losses from the north reached 4,000 dead and wounded. Two individuals from the north were also captured, and they are assisting the Ukrainian Security Service.
Zelensky emphasized the urgent defense needs, particularly air defense systems of various types and high-precision long-range weapons. The President proposed that France invest in the production of Ukrainian weapons and the procurement of artillery shells.
The leaders discussed the French initiative to deploy military contingents in Ukraine and plans for its implementation involving other countries. They agreed to meet in the near future and tasked their teams with planning a series of contacts at various levels to coordinate joint actions to achieve a just peace and develop effective security guarantees.
It should be noted that Biden revealed the main miscalculation of Putin regarding Ukraine.
