Detained organizer of illegal transportation to Romania: charged 10 thousand dollars.
According to ТСН: The police of Kyiv together with the SBU detained a resident of the region who had established a scheme for the illegal exit of conscripts to Romania. The perpetrator demanded 10 thousand dollars for organizing a safe sandy route that bypassed official checkpoints.
Law enforcement officers identified and detained the man who organized the exit of men of conscription age outside Ukraine for this money.
The perpetrator sought his 'clients' among those liable for military service and during personal meetings explained in detail how to cross the state border illegally, avoiding official checkpoints.
Transportation scheme
According to the investigation data, the offender planned the route: first, the men were to be transported from Kyiv to a hotel near the border, and then taken on foot to Romania, bypassing checkpoints.
The detention occurred during the money transfer from one of the 'clients'. The perpetrator faces imprisonment for up to nine years.
In addition, in Bukovina, the driver of a Range Rover tried to break through to Romania, running over a border guard and causing him serious injuries. The offender ignored the demand to stop, attempted to ram through engineering barriers, and injured the serviceman, who was urgently operated on. Law enforcement officers detained six passengers of the vehicle, and the driver is currently wanted.
These events highlight a serious problem of illegal migration and attempts to evade military service, which remains a relevant issue in Ukraine. Law enforcement agencies continue to combat such schemes, ensuring compliance with the law and safety at the borders.
