More Than 60 Drones Hit Odesa in Massive Attack: Casualties Include a Child.
Odesa Under Fire: The Aftermath of a Devastating Strike
According to UATV: On March 28, 2023, Russian forces launched a large-scale assault on the southern city of Odesa, deploying over 60 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The attack caused widespread destruction, resulting in deaths and injuries. At least ten people were wounded, among them a child. This offensive was not isolated—simultaneous strikes targeted the Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions, highlighting the broader scope of aggression.
In a separate incident in Chernihiv region, a 95-year-old resident lost his life in the attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the events, stating:
“There is no military logic here—this is pure terror directed at ordinary civilian life.”
He further emphasized that “each such strike proves Russia has no intention of ending the war.” These remarks underscore the gravity of the situation and the Ukrainian government's stance on Moscow's renewed hostilities.
Ongoing Crisis in Ukraine
The situation across the affected regions remains tense, with reports of damage and casualties still emerging.
These attacks are part of an escalating conflict in Ukraine, reflecting a surge in violence by Russian forces that continues to inflict heavy civilian casualties. The assault on Odesa and other areas underscores the persistent threat to non-combatants and casts doubt on prospects for a peaceful resolution. The international community is closely monitoring developments, and its response may prove critical in addressing these aggressive actions.
