The crowdfunding platform Buy Me a Coffee featured a meme with a photograph of a North Korean soldier who participated in the war against Ukraine. This sparked outrage among users and bloggers, as well as a reaction from United24.

The United24 organization, which supports Ukraine, took notice of a tweet published on the social network Buy Me a Coffee on January 5.

It contained a meme with a photo of a North Korean soldier who took part in the military actions of Russia against Ukraine. Buy Me a Coffee captioned it with the phrase 'That feeling when you read a message from your supporters'.

United24 noted that the publication of such a meme by an American company is unacceptable and reflects a lack of principles and madness.

Only after a wave of outrage did Buy Me a Coffee delete the tweet and apologize for it.

In their post, they wrote: 'We sincerely apologize for the meme we published on January 5. It was created by a third-party service that we use for memes, and we deleted it as soon as we realized the mistake. We are working hard to ensure this doesn't happen again.'

United24 also reminded that Buy Me a Coffee stopped servicing users from Ukraine in 2024, so previously registered individuals cannot withdraw their funds onto private cards.

It is important to note that operators of the 8th Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 13 North Korean military personnel in Kursk. This was reported by the Special Operations Forces press service.

During the special operation, the special forces killed five KPA fighters during a gun battle and another eight with the help of drones. After the battle, an examination of the bodies of the KPA soldiers and their personal documents was conducted.
