Financial Support for Local Budgets
In April 2025, the Ministry of Finance ensured the transfer of interbudgetary transfers to local budgets amounting to UAH 15.3 billion, which is 93.4% of the planned allocations for that month.
It was noted that the basic subsidy of UAH 2.1 billion (100% of the allocation plan) and additional subsidies of UAH 3.0 billion (82.8% of the planned expenditures) were transferred accordingly.
As of early May 2025, the balances of funds in the accounts of local budgets and budgetary institutions reached UAH 149.2 billion, which is UAH 28.6 billion higher than the figure at the beginning of the year.
These resources will further allow local self-government bodies to ensure financing for urgent needs at the local level.
Data on the financial support of local budgets indicate the stability of funding and the availability of reserves for development. This will allow local authorities to provide for the social and economic needs of communities in their area.
