The Ministry of Defense allowed the use of the Ukrainian drone Sova 10 in the military.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved the use of the unmanned aerial vehicle Sova 10 in the Defense Forces, reports the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
This strike drone can carry combat payloads and operate in various weather conditions and air temperatures.
“Each new model is manufactured taking into account the technical recommendations of the military,” said Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenko.
An unmanned aerial complex Tokko of Ukrainian production has also been approved and put into operation within the units of the Defense Forces. These kamikaze drones are resistant to the effects of enemy electronic warfare means, reported the Main Directorate for the Support of the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry emphasized that the complex has two drone modifications with different combat payload weights, and its components have a protective coating that ensures operational durability in challenging field conditions. The components of the complex include a ground control station, a control panel, pilot goggles, masts, and dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Earlier, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated at the International Defense Industry Forum (DFNC2) that Ukraine plans to increase the production of weapons, including drones and ballistic missiles, next year. He also emphasized the active work of the Ministry of Defense to engage foreign partners in the joint establishment of enterprises for the development of the defense industry. An important element of such cooperation is the signing of long-term contracts for the production, supply, and maintenance of weapons to meet the needs of the Ukrainian military in the long term.
A new drone missile 'Hell' was also presented in the Defense Forces, which reaches a speed of 700 km/h and has a range of over 700 km.
