Who Qualifies for the New UAH 10,000 Military Bonus and When It Will Be Paid.
Overhaul of Incentive Payments for Service Members
According to Novyny.live: Starting June 1, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry is rolling out a revamped incentive system that adds a UAH 10,000 supplement to the base salary of military personnel. This policy, formalized by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 768 adopted on June 12, 2026, aims to boost compensation for troops. For context, this update comes amid ongoing efforts to sustain morale and recruitment in a prolonged conflict.
Under the new rules, the minimum monthly pay for soldiers stationed in rear areas will be set at UAH 30,000. For those engaged in combat operations on the front lines, daily rates are as follows:
- UAH 20,000 per day for position recovery missions;
- UAH 40,000 per day for assault operations.
It is important to note that total monthly payments for any individual service member cannot exceed UAH 460,000.
Rewards for Combat Achievements
Additionally, the new framework introduces bonuses tied to battlefield successes. For instance:
- A bonus of UAH 100,000 for each enemy soldier taken prisoner;
- A bonus of UAH 15,000 for each enemy combatant eliminated.
These measures are designed to enhance troop motivation and provide financial backing during active hostilities.
'The introduction of the new incentive payment system is a crucial step in supporting military personnel amid ongoing armed conflicts.'
Additional payments and bonuses could help lift army spirits and attract new recruits to service. These changes may also influence the broader national situation by strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and improving the readiness of forces to carry out assigned missions.
