Mobilized individuals will be offered contracts with payments up to 2 million: details

According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, the implementation of a new motivation system for mobilized citizens is planned. Roman Kostenko, the secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, reported that a contract army will be created, within which mobilized individuals will be able to sign contracts with additional payments.

“We remember that the president stated that we will have a priority - a contract army, and there will be efforts to persuade the mobilized to sign contracts,” said the people's deputy.

The size of the additional payments for mobilized individuals who sign the contract has not yet been specified, but it may reach up to two million hryvnias for the entire term of the contract.

“It is about one million or two – I will not say now, because the decision is conceptually there, but not finalized… You sign a contract for a minimum of two years… The total amount (red.) is distributed over those months of service you signed the contract for, for example, for 24 months. You do not receive two million at once – it is divided over 24 months, and you will receive an additional motivation amount every month added to your salary,” he explained.

It is noted that only contractors will receive an increase in monetary payments, and clear service terms will be established for this category.

Program 'Contract 18–24'

The government has approved the 'Contract 18–24' program for drone operators serving in the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service. Participants in the program will receive a payment of 1 million hryvnias, which will be divided into three stages. After completing their service, participants will also receive support from the state, including a mortgage at zero interest rate.

Moreover, the Ministry of Defense has initiated the introduction of a deferment for participants of the 'Contract 18–24' program, which was supported by Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of continuing mobilization in the event of a ceasefire agreement.

The introduction of a new motivation system for mobilized individuals, which includes a contract army and the 'Contract 18–24' program for drone operators, indicates the government's ongoing efforts to support and stimulate the military potential of the country amid the war in the east. Such new approaches to motivating the young population can significantly impact the defense capability and development of the Ukrainian army, attracting youth to important tasks for the security of the state.
